Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the TaxMate mobile application ("App") operated by BLKQ LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using TaxMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

TaxMate is a tax estimation and planning tool that provides:

  • Federal and state tax calculations based on information you provide
  • Personalized deduction recommendations
  • Tax calendar and deadline reminders
  • Document preparation checklists
  • Year-over-year tax comparisons

Important: TaxMate provides estimates for informational and planning purposes only. It is NOT a substitute for professional tax advice, tax preparation services, or official tax filing.

Not Tax Advice

The information provided by TaxMate is for general informational purposes only. TaxMate does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. You should consult with a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your situation.

We make no representations or warranties regarding:

  • The accuracy of any tax calculations or estimates
  • The applicability of any information to your specific tax situation
  • The completeness of deduction recommendations
  • Tax law changes that may affect calculations

You are solely responsible for verifying any information and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws.

User Responsibilities

By using TaxMate, you agree to:

  1. Provide accurate information when using the App
  2. Use the App only for lawful purposes
  3. Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
  4. Not use the App to transmit harmful code or interfere with our services
  5. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BLKQ LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
  • Use our trademarks without prior written consent
  • Create derivative works based on the App
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

Advertisements

TaxMate displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including Google AdMob. By using the App, you acknowledge that:

  • Advertisements may be displayed during your use of the App
  • We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements
  • Clicking on advertisements may direct you to third-party websites
  • Your interactions with advertisements are subject to the advertiser's terms and privacy policies

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy of tax calculations
  • Warranties that defects will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLKQ LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
  • Any damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App
  • Any damages resulting from reliance on tax estimates or calculations
  • Any tax penalties, interest, or additional taxes owed

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, if any.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BLKQ LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any tax-related decisions made based on App information

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App will cease immediately
  • Locally stored data will remain on your device unless you delete it
  • Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts located in the United States.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
